Fifth grade is working a unit focused on marine and sea life. Our first project was a focus on artist Winslow Homer and his paintings of the ocean and ships. The students learned how to free draw a Clipper Ship. We practiced for several days before we drew them on our large painting paper. After outlining with permanent marker the students are now watercoloring them. They are turning out so amazing! I can wait to see the finished products. I am so impressed with their work. They are taking such pride in their art.
