All settled in

We have settled into school and we are working on our routines. I hope that each of my students is starting to feel at home in the art room. The kids spent the first few days working on their "Summer Selfies", and drawing what they had been up to this summer. I have to say, some of them had some amazing adventures!. We have started our first project and we are focusing on lines, letters, and doodling. I have been reminding students on the grading scale in art. Make sure they are familiar with the grading rubric. As soon as we are finished with this project we will begin our first unit, The Elements of Art and Color Theory. Here are just a few of the "Summer Selfies".
