About Mrs. Thornton
Mrs. Thornton is the art teacher at Walker Elementary School in Ludowici, Georgia. She has spent the past nine years teaching art to fourth through eighth grade in Long County.
I think being an Art Teacher is the best job in the world! It is so rewarding to see my students create new things and reach new heights.
I grew up in Jesup, Georgia and attended Georgia Southern University, GO EAGLES! I received my degree in Art with an emphasis in photography. I continued my education and to complete my Masters in Education. I have spent the last nine years teaching art to fourth through eighth grade at Walker Elementary and Long County Elementary School. I am excited this year to be able to focus on my fourth and fifth graders and I cannot wait for all the fun projects I have planned for this year.
